Veterans are able to fellowship with their peers to celebrate the good and the bad.
Raising Awareness
The AMVETS strive to raise awareness to local veterans about programs and benefits that veterans are eligible for.
Building A Community
American Veterans participate in programs that bring the community closer. The comradery of the post extends beyond its walls.
Vietnam Veterans Memorial Service 2020
The first Vietnam Veterans Memorial Service was held in 2020. Leaders from all over the city converged on downtown to show their support of Vietnam Veterans. Joe Gibson, pictured to the right next to the pink sign, is one of several veterans in Post 36 from that era.
